Tonight is opening night of Tent Theatre's "Fiddler On The Roof!" It was announced today that we are completely sold out for the entire run. You can check back daily for any seats that might be released by going to http://tenttheatre.missouristate.edu/box-office.htm.
Since I was very young, "Fiddler" has been one of my favorite shows. It's always been a goal of mine to be in a staged production of it, and I could not of asked for a better company to do it with. This cast, artistic, and production team are amazing; and I am so grateful for the opportunity of sharing this journey with them. The story we share is one that is timeless. There is a reason that "Fiddler" is having its 50th anniversary. We bring the story of Tevye and his family as they face the question of how to keep their traditions and still be able to accept the world around them changing. We give life to a town faced with the discrimination of the time, and the pain and suffering it causes. The same struggles we face as a society today. So, come join the TRADITION of Tent Theatre! Check back to see if tickets are released, because you don't want to miss this group of talented performers and the work that everyone involved with this show has put in. Performances run July 9-12 and 14-20 starting at 8pm!
"Imagine if you and I could fly past the sun, and leave all our doubts and fears behind us. You see that's just what can happen if you look inside your mind, there's no limit to the wonders you can find. Whatever you imagine, can make your life brand new. There are miracles waiting, so keep concentrating. And I promise you that if you do, whatever you imagine can come true."
